Given that one of our missions is to speak out, we have decided to start an educational programme where young people with epilepsy, our ‘Brainbusters’, share their stories to help spread awareness about their condition and bust myths around epilepsy! It is these personal stories which show what it is really like to have epilepsy, and allow people to look at epilepsy through the eyes of someone who has the condition.
Our aim is to go around the UK talking to as many schools as possible with our Brainbusters and ‘speaking out’ microphone. We would love the opportunity to speak at more schools and universities, so if you would like us to come to your school or university please use the contact form on the website.
We are looking for more people to join the Brainbusters team! If you have epilepsy and/or someone close to you does, and are willing to share your story as part of our school visit programme, please fill in the form below. You need to be comfortable with public speaking, as you will speak in front of groups from as little as 10 to as many as 200! We are still building the programme, so you may not hear from us straight away, but as soon as more opportunities open we will be in touch!!!
YOU WILL NEED TO BE 18 YEARS OLD AND OVER TO BE A BRAINBUSTER.
